Local Home Energy Auditor gives presentation at Hagerstown College.

W. Mark Watkins of Oakland, owner of Hot Shotz Thermal Imaging Services LLC was a guest speaker at the April 19th Go Green Energy Conference sponsored by Congressman Roscoe Bartlett.

Hot Shotz was invited to speak on No Cost / Low Cost methods to show people practical ways to make their business or home more energy independent while saving money. Mr. Watkins also discussed the connection between Potomac Edison and the EmPOWER Maryland Energy Efficiency Act. “Every PE customer in MD. is paying the EmPOWER Maryland Surcharge.

Part of the money generated from the surcharge is to provide complimentary Home Energy Check-Up audits. If you talk with Mark or Steve Watkins they will tell you, "We owe you an audit."

There was more than 50 exhibitors available during the expo to showcase the ways they can help you go green.

...Congressman Bartlett says he will continue to help people understand what being green is all about. "We're going to continue this all across the district, all around the year to help educate people about energy, the opportunities, and the challenges that this presents to us," explains Bartlett.
